About the Author

Adelita Barragán Hernández was born and raised in Cotija de la Paz, Michoacán, Mexico, a town known for its rich cultural heritage and the famous Cotija cheese. Inspired by her mother's cooking, Adelita developed a deep love for traditional Mexican cuisine at a young age. She later fulfilled her dream of opening Tierra Luna Mexican Grill in Houston, Texas, where she served authentic Michoacán-style dishes, creating a beloved local restaurant near NASA Johnson Space Center. Now, with her debut cookbook, Sabores de mi Pueblo: Recetas de mi Madre, Adelita shares the treasured family recipes and stories that have shaped her culinary journey, continuing to preserve and celebrate the flavors of her heritage.
